NAFI is dedicated to supporting those who provide flight instruction.  A significant portion of that effort comes not just from the instructors, but also from the businesses and academic institutions that provide the infrastructure that makes flight training possible.  NAFI works within the industry and with the FAA to help promote accessibility and improve perceptions about flight instruction and those that provide it.  The members of NAFI are members of a group that together has a much larger voice within the industry than any one member could have on their own. The NAFI Group Membership highlights those flight schools that are dedicated to providing high quality instruction and have instructors who are in touch with the flight instruction community.  To have highly qualified instructors who regularly keep up-to-date on flight instruction community developments allows a flight training organization’s staff to provide the best training possible to its customers.  To promote your instruction efforts in this way allows training organization’s to showcase the increased level of involvement their instructors have within the flight instruction community. Those entities that are group members of NAFI receive special benefits that include a number of memberships for the flight instructors they employ, listings on NAFI’s webpage as NAFI Group Member flight training organizations, listings within NAFI partner industry resources, complimentary access to AirVenture each year, and many more benefits. PilotJourney.com and McConnell Aviation have partnered with NAFI to provide real benefits to those training organizations who choose to become NAFI Group Members.

Becoming a member of NAFI not only helps promote the flight training organization, but also gives your instructors access to the benefits of being a NAFI member.  NAFI members receive publications with regular updates and articles about the flight instruction industry.  These instructors are also eligible for certification as a NAFI Master Instructor.  NAFI members and NAFI Master Instructors have been and continue to be the most active instructors and leaders within the flight instruction community on a national level.  Having NAFI members on a flight training organization’s staff shows their customers the ongoing commitment that the school and its instructors have to providing professional and competent instruction.  A great marketing tool!

NAFI offers three levels of group membership.  These levels are designed to offer different levels of membership and benefits that best fit the needs of the particular flight training organization.  The group member levels are as follows:
